News Bites
Yesterday was a good Sunday, which was superbly welcome after the terrible Saturday (we clean on Saturday.) A couple of friends, who are also a couple, surprised the husband by dropping in. From India. Awesome. Merriment ensued.

Now that I finally have a girl to walk around with in this shopping heaven, I must get down to doing all things girlie. We shall begin with a manicure; while I get tiny stars painted on my nails, she is opting for fish.

In other news, I tried octopus yesterday. Cannot say I am a fan or even close but well, it is now on records that it has been done.

Now I meet another friend, who is red and has newly arrived in the seafood land, for lunch. What’s more, she is here to stay. Happiness.

Hmm...interesting question. I could write pages after pages on this subject.

Well, life is easier in some ways here. Things work. Transport, civic amenities, and the daily needs stuff. However, I miss having friends and family around. I miss having a maid/help (I am going to find one soon. Somehow.)Life in Hyderabad was very comfy thanks to the short distance to work and a couple of great friends we had there. But I guess, I shall wait and watch. Give this new place some time. :)

Being a vegetarian, it's really hard for me to imagine someone having such a monstrous creature like octopus but i'm sure it wont as hard for a seafood lover. Reading through your blogs (atleast the 1st page) I cudnt figure out
the place where you are staying currently (just out of curiosity ), as we meet or get to read about someone in the ubiquitous online world, we tend to ask ASL (i could remember doing that when i started chatting). I could figure out A and S part here, but not the L. Kindly ignore if you would like to be anonymous.

Hardly anonymous, I am. Half of the friends know me in real life here. Anyhow, I understand that my gender is written all over my LJ, however, how did you guess my age? I am really interested in knowing what and how. Please tell. :)

I am currently in Singapore. Moved recently.

I am not interested in eating anything raw or an octopus again. When I gathered courage to try sushi at the breakfast buffet during my stay at Orchard, I chickened out at the last moment got myself some spinach sushi. Seriously. :p

I had another interesting meal this afternoon. From the Japanese counter, I ordered a mini shabu-shabu. I went for the veg option so I got a lot of veggies - three types of mushrooms, carrots, lotus stem, green leaves, cabbage - dipped in a broth and served in a wok with fire lit under it. It came with a bowl of steamed rice and some spicy sauce. Much awesomeness. Wish we could explore all these things together. :|
